My cats β€” and more

This photo of my cats, Destiny and Spirit, is worth at least a thousand words.

It says Spirit, the white cat, couldn’t be bothered to get close enough to her sister to take a decent photo.

But it provides a glimpse at so much more than just the cats.

It shows my cluttered room (which always needs cleaning). I once read (I think it was in Weight Watchers magazine) that clutter inhibits weight loss. Does that mean I need to clean up my room to take off the weight? I don’t know which is the more daunting task! πŸ˜‰

It also proves that I spend time watching Investigation Discovery when I get home from work.

It even indicates that I sleep on flannel sheets this time of year. Who doesn’t? It gets darn cold in Flagstaff in the late fall/winter.

New recipe: Last-Minute Lasagna

I tried something new for lunch today: Last-Minute Lasagna.

Tina from Carrots N Cake posted it on her other blog, Trading Up Downtown.

She promised it was delicious β€” and husband-approved. She wasn’t kidding. I loved it … and I think the Boyfriend would eat it, too.

I did modify the recipe a little bit, adding some meat β€” a link of hot Italian sausage and a link of sweet Italian sausage. I also used less ravioli, because the bags I bought were smaller. My version only had two layers of ravioli, not three. Still delicious!

Next time, I may try making it with shredded zucchini and mushrooms instead of spinach.

Yes, there’ll be a next time. I’m definitely putting this recipe in my keepers file.

P.S. Looking at some new recipe links today, I found another similar recipe over on All You magazine’s website. Funny how I never heard of this before, then see it twice in a week.

Burning question

Time for the first edition of “Burning Question,” in which I ask you all to wonder about something with me.

The question is related to this photo:

Regular faucet, automatic soap dispenser

Why would anyone design a bathroom with automatic soap dispensers but regular faucets? Doesn’t it only make sense to have an automatic faucet with an automatic soap dispenser? Or even automatic water before auto soap? And why do you need automatic soap dispensing, anyway? The darn thing shoots out every time your hand passes it, so you get several servings while washing your hands.

Any designers/architects out there want to enlighten me?

Sorry. That bugs me every time I see it. πŸ˜‰
