WIAW: The spotty edition

It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means: It’s time for another What I Ate Wednesday post. As always, thanks go to Jenn at Peas & Crayons for hosting the WIAW link-up.

This week’s post is pretty hit-or-miss. I started off Tuesday with good intentions of snapping photos of everything I ate … and it wasn’t that I scarfed a lot of foods that’d embarrass me to admit eating. I simply forgot to fire up the camera, leaving a fair amount of the day’s eats undocumented.

Reminds me of that age-old question: If a tree falls in the forest & no one’s around to hear it, does it make a sound? If I eat something and don’t photograph it, is that like not eating at all?

I wish! 😉

Without further waxing philosophical, here are the photos I did manage to take.

Coconut Kale Smoothie

A Banana/Coconut/Kale smoothie brought to you by Carrots N Cake, courtesy of Chicklets in the Kitchen‘s Kale Week. (I’ll be blogging all about it on the Chicklets’ site Thursday.) Such a pretty green! Where was this in March, when WIAW went green? Oh yeah — it was hanging out on my Smoothie-palooza Pinterest board.

Popchips & a latte

Starbucks skinny caramel latte with the sour cream & onion PopChips I packed to eat with my sandwich.

Chicken & veggie sandwich

Chicken and veggie sandwich on a Bagel Thin with a wedge of Laughing Cow light white cheddar. Unpictured: A second single-serve bag of PopChips (of the sweet potato variety. I stopped at Safeway to get cash to pay my fee to play softball, and picked up a few more bags. Then I felt the need to eat one of them. Come to think of it, maybe that is slightly embarrassing.)

Almond Coco Loco Chobani Flip

After dinner, I dug into a Chobani Flip. This time, it was the Almond Coco-Loco flavor I’ve been looking forward to trying since I first spotted it on Twitter. Delicious! It didn’t disappoint.

Wait. That’s not entirely true: I was disappointed to discover a serving has 6 WW PointsPlus. Seems a bit excessive, especially when the Key Lime is 4. Ah well. I’ll probably treat myself once in a while. 6 Points worth of Chobani will last longer than 3  jelly-filled Munchkins from Dunkin’ Donuts.

An ounce of Emerald Dark Chocolate/PB mixed nuts and my WW SmartOnes chicken enchiladas dinner went unphotographed, as did a 2-Point mini bar and the giant iced coffee I picked up from DD on the way in to work. (That could become an expensive habit, so I should put a stop to it now.)

In non-food news, I got in a 20-minute walk and received my room assignment for Blend Retreat. Can’t wait to get to know Becky at OlivesnWine. She has a beautiful website. As I’m looking for someone to redesign my author website, I’ve been paying more attention than usual to blog design.
