Guess what time it is … time for another Survey Saturday!
This survey first came to my attention courtesy of Julie, who filled it out w-a-a-a-y back in November. I saved it in Google Reader, and am finally getting around to answering it.
1. first thing you did when you woke up this morning?
Checked my watch, realized it was 10 a.m. and cursed. “Did I forget to set my alarm or just sleep through it?” I asked the cat. She had no clue, but when I checked my phone, the alarm hadn’t been on, so my failing memory was to blame.
2. first kiss you ever had?
Talk about a late bloomer! I was in college. I was an editor for the college newspaper, the Crescent, and had been hanging out with our photo editor. His roommate asked me to come over for dinner and a movie — we ended up kissing on the couch while watching “White Men Can’t Jump.”
3. first time you were really scared in life?
It’s hard to remember a time when I wasn’t scared. I guess after my dad’s car accident. Just before I started fourth grade, he left the house and didn’t come back. (He got in a car accident near Indianapolis and ended up in a coma for months) … After that, every time my mom left, I would stand by the window and watch for her to come back — and get more panicked the longer she was gone.
4. first car?
1985 Mazda GLC. Wish I had a picture of it to share, but I don’t think I do.
5. first time you really knew you were in love?
When the Boyfriend started finishing my sentences for me … and it was how I’d have done it.
6. first food you think of when you think of “YUM!”?
7. first person you call every day or most days?
8. first fitness favorite on your list if you had to choose what it was today?
Zumba. That class is so much fun. I also love yoga and know I should do more of it.
9. first friend you really made through blogging and have met?
Still waiting to meet my blog friends IRL. I’d love to meet Roni, Tina, Tina, Julie and David — but there are so many others. I’m hoping to attend the Blend Retreat this spring so I can meet up with folks.
10. first thing you are thankful for every single day?
Waking up. At my age, some people don’t. Okay, I’m not quite THAT old (though sometimes I feel like it). The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is check my phone, so I guess I’ll say my iPhone.
