Survey Saturday: Currently …

Morning, everyone. It’s time for another Survey Saturday! When I read Kelly’s answers to this survey over at Laughter, Strength, Food, I knew I wanted to play along.

Here are some of the things I’m up to currently:

Current Books
I write romance, and that’s primarily what I read, too. I have Miss Mistletoe — a Regency novella by Erin Knightley, one of my Golden Heart sisters — loaded on the Kindle app on my phone. My Nook ereader is offering Darynda Jones’ Second Grave on the Left. (I loved her first book, “First Grave on the Right,” just haven’t had much time to read because I’ve been writing.) And because the HealthysELF challenge for Saturday is to start a new book, I’m aiming to finish up the novella and start MizFit’s How to Build Muscle and Lose Weight Without Losing Your Mind.

Current Music
Does that mean music I’m currently listening to or current music I like? Because I have to say, those are two completely different lists. How about I go with the last five things played on my iPod?

Current Guilty Pleasure
Heart-Shaped Jelly DonutDunkin’ Donuts. I went twice this week … three times if you count my stop on Super Bowl Sunday. But hey — if that’s how I want to use my WW Flex Points, so be it.

Current Nail Color
I rarely paint my nails, so I guess you’d call it “natural.” The summer before I went to college, my mother and I got regular manicures — and fake nails. I loved it (once I got used to having nails, that is), but can’t afford the upkeep on my own.

Current Drink
I’d like to say plain ol’ H2O, but that’s not entirely true. I’m also drinking the occasional Diet Dr Pepper and SodaStream water flavored with 1) sugar-free vanilla and pumpkin syrups (1 pump of each) or 2) sugar-free chocolate syrup (sometimes with a pump of SF coconut thrown in, sometimes not).

Current Food
Just finished a post-work quesadilla made with a low-carb tortilla (2 WW Points), string cheese (1) and Wholly Salsa Avocado Verde (1 in a 2-T serving, 0 in the 1 T I used.) The salsa was spicier than I expected, but still tasty.

Current Favorite Show
I work nights, so I don’t get to watch much PrimeTime TV. When I get home, I’m glued to ID (Investigation Discovery). “Deadly Women” never fails to entertain.

Current Wish List
Money to pay the registration for RWA Nationals in Atlanta this summer and the Blend Retreat in Park City Utah this spring. I’m planning to combine the retreat with a vacation to see my brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew, since they’re in Salt Lake City.

Current Needs
Money to pay my RWA dues. Guess I just need to win the lottery.

Current Bane of My Existence
The weather. Can’t we just skip winter and get to spring? Earlier this week, temps were in the 50s and it was sunny. This weekend, we’re expecting temps in the 30s and snow. When I moved to Arizona, I knew I was moving to an area with four seasons and snow — but I didn’t sign up for this.

Current Celebrity Crush
Current? Guess that leaves out Brad Pitt and Brendan Fraser. They’re so Y2K …

Bradley Cooper is great — or Channing Tatum. Yeah. Channing Tatum. How could I forget “Magic Mike”? I’m looking forward to seeing “Side Effects” (and “Identity Thief”) this weekend.Channing Tatum

Current Indulgence
Umm … Channing Tatum?

Kidding. Starbucks, baby! I’ve switched to the “skinny” latte, usually iced, but sometimes hot. Once in a while, I switch it up with a Skinny Caramel Macchiato or a Frappuccino Light.

Friends and family

Current Outfit
Size 14 jeans (yay!) and a sweater, both from Old Navy.

Current Excitement
Challenging myself in so many different ways.

I’m planning to make The Wellness Mama’s Grain-free Spaghetti sometime this weekend. (She had me at “one-pan.”) The cabbage is in my fridge, waiting to be used.
