The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 10,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 17 years to get that many views.
I have to say, it’s fun to see how WordPress summarizes the year for me. Without their “stats monkeys,” I wouldn’t really know which posts are popular (my PB Fingers book club review of “Drop Dead Healthy” and anything about Reese Witherspoon’s bangs) or where all my readers come from (the U.S., Canada and U.K top the list) No big surprise there.
I also wouldn’t have any idea how my blog is growing — but it is. In 2012, I had about 10,000 page views, up from 8,300 in 2011. I added more posts (325 vs. 272) and more photos (an average of 2/day instead of 7/week).
Stay tuned later today or tomorrow for my post on my goals for the New Year.
