Wednesday was a fantastic day: I had to break out the belt to hold up my size 16 jeans.
For the last few weeks, I’ve noticed myself having to hike them up whenever I stand — so I decided to do something about it.
A lot of my belts are still too small, but this one’s fairly forgiving because that buckle will hook in anywhere. (I seem to recall having a much longer “tail” on it the last time I wore it … but oh well. I’ll get there again.)
It’s the little things, right?
That may be the only victory I have this week. Stupidly, I packed Crock Pot pork & Sauerkraut for dinner … meaning I consumed mass quantities of sodium the night before my scheduled weigh-in. Dumb, dumb, dumb. (Guess you could say I was having a blonde moment. It finally hit me what I’d done when I went to the break room to nuke my dinner.)
I’m thinking I’ll skip the scale this morning and weigh in tomorrow instead, once I’ve downed enough water to float a fleet of yachts.
2.5 miles in 41 minutes, 5 seconds. Still not fast, but I’ll get there … someday.
What’s impressive is that I got out there at all. I was so warm and comfy under the covers in the morning that I didn’t want to get out of bed. I lost count of the number of times I slapped the snooze button on my phone.
I got more good news on the giveaway front, too. Seems I’ve been winning giveaways left and right lately: First the PaleoViz app from Tarah at What I Gather and now three months of advertising on Healthy Living Blogs from Kelly at Brownies & Zucchini.
Now might be a great time to enter to win a new Kindle Fire or a new pair of running shoes or something huge, eh?
The ad space couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve been wanting to become a blogger sponsor at HLB for a while now — I even designed an ad. I have not, however, written the bio that has to go with it. (Dreading that task. What do I say?)
I got creative in the kitchen Wednesday, too. Made a big batch of zesty zucchini “fries” for lunch. Look for the recipe soon.
Hope your Wednesday was as wonderful as mine — and that today brings some happy surprises, too.
