Today’s been a laid-back kinda day. I woke up when my alarm went off at 9:30, and — after dawdling in bed while I caught up with tweets — put on my workout clothes and went for a walk/run.
It wasn’t a quick run, that’s for sure. Moving super-slowly, I covered 3.25 miles in 56 minutes. I don’t know if I was just leery of running because of my fall or just tired, but I was slow as molasses. Oh well. At least I got moving — and that’s half the battle, right?
After my walk, I gave Cocoa that bath. She actually was pretty good. She stood there and let me spray her down, then lather her up.
One doggie bath down for the week, two to go.
When Cocoa was taken care of, I hit the kitchen. My plan was to make another batch of Tina’s Paleo Morning Glory Muffins — but I needed more cinnamon. So it was off to Target.
While I was there, I also picked up some other essentials — like toilet paper and brussels sprouts. I want to try these brussels sprouts chips from Nom Nom Paleo. They look amazing, right?
Back at home again, I got busy with the muffin batter. Turns out I didn’t need cinnamon. I had just enough in the old jar. Live and learn, I guess.
The muffins turned out just as well this time. I used the original sweet potato (last time, I subbed in pumpkin) and again omitted the honey. Yum-o, as Rachael Ray would say. Dense and filling and oh-so-good. The raisins are plenty sweet enough.
When I saw Glenneth’s post this morning, I knew I wanted to jump in. So much fun.
