I’ve said it before, but I have to say it again: What a difference a day makes.
Well, in this case it was actually three days — but I say better that than three weeks or three months.
I’m back in low-carb mode, and glad of it. Not that I didn’t try sooner. I woke up both Friday and Saturday mornings intending to get back on track — but something came up.
Friday was a bust, thanks to the sweet potato fries I decided I had to try from Burger King that evening. They were pretty darn tasty, and more nutritious than regular fries, for sure. But they just led to more carb-loading that night.
Am I the only one with a love-hate relationship with Sonic’s half-price after 8 pm shake deal? I wish I’d never seen that commercial.
Saturday was my writer’s group meeting. I had the best intentions, but after the meeting, I stopped to pick up a diet soda for the road and ended up succumbing to the siren call of the new Nestlé Girl Scout Cookie coconut-caramel bar.
Delicious, as I expected … But it led to another Sonic chocolate malt, chili cheese tots and popcorn.
Today has been on plan so far. And I don’t see that changing any time soon … So long as I stay away from that cursed Sonic, I’ll be in like Flynn. 😉
Watching the rain that blew up out of nowhere, thankful for it. We need the moisture.
