Bootcamp Week Six update: Still ambivalent

Week Six of Best Body Bootcamp was a tough one for me — and I’m not sure why. All I know is I struggled all week. I never did get in Workout D, even though it was one I thoroughly enjoyed in Week Five.

Week Seven didn’t get off to a great start, either. I slept in and didn’t get in any kind of workout. Only 5,786 steps on the pedometer, too.

However, I plan to tackle Workout A bright and early this morning. It looks … umm … challenging. Those plank jacks are going to kill me, I just know it.

I am seeing progress, though — even if the scale doesn’t seem to be moving much. Today I borrowed one of the Boyfriend’s T-shirts that I haven’t worn in quite some time and it fit differently. It was decidedly looser over my stomach and in the hips.

Sometimes it’s the little victories that excite me the most.

I’ve been thinking about what I’ll do after Bootcamp is over. I’ve considered starting the C25K program again … or going through the Bootcamp phases again on my own. Suppose I’d better make up my mind. If I don’t have a plan of some kind, it’d be easy to slip back into my couch potato ways.

I don’t want that.

I know one thing: if I win the grand prize, I’m using half of it to pay for a gym membership. If not, I might have to find some money in my budget to join the gym anyway.

    • I managed to do two each set before I had to drop into a regular plank. It’s a start, I guess.
