I hopped on the scale this morning, like I said I would … and I thought I was up a pound.
That wouldn’t have been totally unexpected, given my lax (but still low-carb) habits of the last week or so: Not enough water, a lot of cheese, too many diet sodas, too much reliance on Atkins bars and shakes.
But when I logged in on the Atkins site to track my weight, it had stayed the same.
Was that as pleasant a surprise as a giant loss would have been? Of course not. Still, it was a heck of a lot better than gaining.
I’ll take it.
